Hi Casi,
Here is our first blog for you from California.
We miss you like crazy and it's almost your birthday! Ellie's personality is starting to shine. She loves to make people laugh but she also has a little attitude on her. Today we went to the park and she made a couple new friends. They played with the bark and she tried giving a little boy a stick but he didn't want it. She wasn't very happy about that. Then about 3 minutes later, she was sitting on the bark and he came over and tried to grab her hand to help her up, and she straight gave him the meanest look. And that's when I knew she had a little of her Aunties attitude.
James has been on call since last Tuesday and its been a pretty crappy on call. Saturday it was hotter than hot here so I think it made all the signals go in flash. And today he has been home for about an hour and he is still working and its almost 10:30. LAME.
Tonight we went to Moms. Ellie played in the backyard, ran through sprinklers, threw noodles and rice all over Riley and when we left she was a mess. She is now at the stage where she MUST have a bath every night because she plays in dirt, bark, water and anything sticky.
Here is a picture of her at CVS. I ran in to get teething tablets and somehow she spotted Mama Kitty and Baby Kitty.
**And no, she did not get these kitties. We waved bye bye to them.

Ellie your bedroom is waiting for you. It is all ready to go. We started decorating in September, 2011 and we haven't been able to stop. Grandma L was super excited to start your bedroom. Her and Auntie Casi helped paint the room. Then me and G.L (Grandma Lynn) put the 'Owl Tree' up, while Daddy and Uncle Chris put the crib and changing table together. Your Grandma Elrene dressed up this huge Teddy Bear for you. Wonder what you are going to name her?

Aussie (your dog) and Pretty Kitty can't wait to meet you. They go in your room any chance they get. Pretty Kitty loves to hang out under your crib and Aussie goes straight to fluffy pink carpet and lays down. You already have two best friends.
We celebrated your Baby Shower on November 13, 2011. It was a beautiful sunny day and the shower was at Grandma Lynn's house. Grandma L, Grandma Elrene and Auntie Casi hosted us the best shower. They kept everything a secret from us, so when I walked into the house, it was all a surprise. It looked like something that came out of a magazine. They had the cutest decorations. It was all pink and had adorable onesies hanging everywhere. On top of that, there was a candy bar, red velvet cupcakes, tiny little booties filled with candy, and so much more. We had so many presents to open. We were very spoiled. Daddy came to the shower, and opened all the presents with us. I was exhausted after the shower but when we got home, we just had to open all your presents. That night, we went through everything you got and hung up all your clothes. Ellie, you are going to be on stylish little girl. You have the cutest clothes and you are not going to run out anytime soon.
Your shower will be a day I will never forget. We all had on pink for you and there was so much love for you that day.
